8+1 Bells. Tenor 24-2-24 in E Flat

Grid Ref NN 781 014

This majestic ring of 8 is located in the historic Cathedral.  Dunblane Cathedral is a parish church of the Church of Scotland but the building itself is owned by Historic Scotland.

The ringing by the local band is of a very high standard, regularly producing winners of the SACR Striking Competition.  Dunblane is also the hub of the Scottish network of ringing teachers, and has recently added a dumbbell and simulators to increase training opportunities.

Getting there

Dunblane Cathedral is easily accessible by trains via Stirling, and the tower is a short walk from the train station.

There is a large car park behind the Cathedral.

Food and Drink

Dunblane has several coffee shops, bistros and pubs within easy walking distance of the tower.

Interesting Facts

There have been bells at Dunblane Cathedral since the 17th Century.
